Cowes weekend regattas

Red Funnel Championship weekend means Committee Vessel (cv) start and 4 races over 2 days.
Start times: Sat 1300hr and Sun 1200hr with the second race starting immediately after the conclusion of the first race.

Solent Series weekend means shore line (sl) start with 1 race each day.
Start times: Sat 1300hr, Sun & Bank Holidays 1200hr

1. FNOs are reminded that entries for Skandia Cowes Week will not be coordinated centrally by the Class. FNOs are required to arrange their own entries through skandiacowesweek.co.uk This website will be open from April.

2. FNO's attention is drawn to on the Cowes Online website www.cowes.co.uk. Notices of Race for the Solent Series and the
Red Funnel Series can be found on this site. FNOs should note the requirement to sign the usual Disclaimers and Declarations before starting either series.

 Saturday after-race  gatherings
At the last AGM it was decided to foregather on Saturdays after racing at the host YC club house. It is hoped that Race Officers will also attend too. Clubs will be encouraged to have at least hot bar snacks available and sailing instructions will state that on regatta days all competitors will be welcome to use their Clubhouse or, in the case of the RYS, the Pavilion. A reminder of which clubhouse to go to will be emailed to all owners each Thursday.
